What a beautiful day for the Hunters Match. This match is shot offhand at 25 yards. Two shots are taken at each of the six animal targets. Congratulations to Darren Heaton for winning the overall match with a score of 103/120. Congratulations to Dennis Quinn for winning the Super Senior Match with a score of 47X. Congratulations to Ron Lawrence for winning the Smoothbore Match with a score of 46. This was a cash prize event that paid out to the top 5 scores on each of the six animals.
We also have our Schuetzen Match this month which consist of each shooter taking one shot at the target made by last year’s winner. Darren Heaton had the privilege of making this years target and he choose the Hawken Classic and the Missouri State Rifle as the theme for his target. The hidden bullseye was the 0 in 2024 along the bottom. Bob Downs shot was closest to the hidden X so he is the Winner and will make our 2025 Schuetzen target. Congratulations Bob!
The 50/50 was won by Rick Weeks ($43), and the Schuetzen Black Powder Giveaway was won by Rick Weeks and Stan Pontius. Big THANK YOU to Schuetzen for supporting our club again this year with your powder donation!

Thank you to Rhonda Buckowitz for grilling and providing the food and drinks for the event. Brad also brought a couple beaver tails that were grilled up. I did try a small piece of that fatty tail and can honestly say, I’m not a big fan. Beaver meat on the other hand was pretty good from last year.
